Kyndo is built on a simple promise: your financial data belongs to you. We never sell it, share it with advertisers, or use it to target you. This policy explains exactly what we collect and why.
Who We Are
Kyndo is a personal finance mobile application developed and operated by Thrice M Financial Consulting, LLC ("TMF," "we," "us," or "our"), a Minnesota limited liability company. Our contact information is listed at the bottom of this page.
Information We Collect
Kyndo collects only the information you provide directly within the app:
- Profile information: Your first name and income type (fixed, variable, or blended).
- Financial data you enter: Income amounts, budget categories and spending, debts, savings goals, net worth accounts, and tax reserve settings.
- Mood check-ins: Daily mood entries you voluntarily record in the app.
- Vee AI conversations: Messages you send to Vee are processed by Anthropic's API to generate responses. See the Vee AI section below.
We do not collect your Social Security Number, banking credentials, government IDs, or payment card numbers.
How Your Data Is Stored
All financial data you enter into Kyndo is stored locally on your device using encrypted on-device storage. This data does not leave your device except as described in the Vee AI section below.
We do not operate servers that store your personal financial data. If you delete the Kyndo app, your data is deleted along with it.
How We Use Your Information
The information you provide is used solely to power the features of the Kyndo app:
- Displaying your budget, cash flow forecast, debt payoff plan, and net worth tracker.
- Calculating your income mode (Feast, Normal, or Famine) and triggering smart alerts.
- Providing personalized AI coaching through Vee.
- Sending optional local push notifications (budget warnings, mood reminders, tax deadlines).
We do not use your data for advertising, credit scoring, or any purpose beyond operating the app for you.
Vee AI Coach & Anthropic
Vee is powered by Claude, an AI model developed by Anthropic, PBC. When you send a message to Vee, a financial summary and your message are transmitted to Anthropic's API through our secure proxy server to generate a response.
What is shared with Anthropic: Aggregated financial summary data (totals and percentages, not individual transactions) and your conversation messages. Your first name may be included for personalization.
What is never shared: Account numbers, credentials, Social Security Numbers, or any data not explicitly visible in your Vee conversation.
Anthropic processes this data under their own privacy policy. We encourage you to review it at anthropic.com/privacy.
Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, license, or trade your personal information. We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or credit bureaus.
The only third-party service that receives any portion of your data is Anthropic (for Vee AI, as described above). We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect the safety of our users.
Your Rights & Data Deletion
You are in full control of your data at all times:
- Access: All your data is visible within the Kyndo app.
- Correction: Update any information directly in the app's Settings screen.
- Deletion: Tap Delete Account in Settings, or simply uninstall the app. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
- Notifications: Disable push notifications anytime in your device settings or in Kyndo's Notification Settings.
Children's Privacy
Kyndo is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided information through the app, please contact us immediately.
Security
We take reasonable technical measures to protect your information. Financial data is stored using encrypted on-device storage. Vee AI requests are transmitted over HTTPS through our secure API proxy. No method of electronic storage or transmission is 100% secure.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last Updated" date above. Continued use of Kyndo after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
Governing Law
This Privacy Policy is governed by the laws of the State of Minnesota, United States, without regard to conflict of law provisions.
